          Hi Spike,

Have you tried contacting Dick on his Facebook Page, assuming he has one of course?

          Cheers, Ross

Ross, Hope your well, yes I have tried FB/messenger but no luck. He has a good documentary on it which I have watched and Google earthed shots etc. so I am in the area. Also been onto the heritage council so working on it.

Hi Spike, I watched the doco. Reminded me of the Leyland Brothers with a chopper. I can see why you are doing it – very interesting piece of Kimberley coast history.

What about contacting the ABC. They may have some archival info that helps. They would probably be keen to do a story on your exploits. When are you heading there? We expect to be that far west in the 2019 dry.

              Cheers, Ross

I watched it too, hard not to get drawn in. If you find the coordinates can you post them here, I’d like to do a run out and have a look as well.

Hey Spike, All4Adventure did an episode on this a few years ago and made it to the plaque. They are pretty responsive if you email them with questions. https://www.all4adventure.com

                  Best of luck.

Hi Spike – I just stumbled across this https://maps.daa.wa.gov.au/EntryPermitsMap/ which lists the Southern Cross crash site location as:

                      15* 37′ 24.0″S

                      124* 43′ 24.7″E
