We have just completed our 4th trip in our trailerboat from Derby to the Buccaneer Archipelago, as far as Raft Point/ Rube Falls. All waterfalls have plenty of water this year. We called into Silvergull Creek and everything was locked up, the place was untidy and the tank for swimming has a coat of black algae all over it. You can still access water from the standpipe however care needs to be taken as the hose has become hard and brittle and may break if is bent too far. Fuel is still available from Dogleg creek and Mike is this year also selling fresh baked Bread as well as his usual icecreams. Cockatoo Island Resort and Bar are not quite open yet as the cyclone season wasn’t very kind to them and has set back their opening date. Koolan Island is in the process of rebuilding their seawall so they should be mining again in the near future. Lots of insects at most places we visited this year, probably because of all the fresh water around. Hope this info is useful to someone. We hope to do it all again next April.
