If you’re planning a cruise to the Kimberley in 2024, use this topic to post a brief outline of your sailing plans. You can arrange to meet up with other vessels, cruise in company, ask questions, get info etc.
Cheers

G’day Everyone,
My wife, dog and myself will be leaving Perth and heading North in late Apr/early May 2024. We will be day hopping our way up, but moving with purpose and only really stopping in at Shark Bay, Exmouth and the Montebellos for any duration, to give ourselves bulk time in the Kimberley. This is our first time in the Kimberley and we hope to bump into fellow travellers heading North. We will arrive in Darwin start of November. We are a sailing catamaran named The Endless Dream – if you see us, please say g’day and we can hopefully have a beer and perhaps sail together.
Cheers! -

Hay Guys and Girls,
My wife and I and our dog and cat are planning on sailing from Rockingham to Darwin with time in the Kimberley this year. We are new to sailing “3 years” but feel we are ready to make our first big trip. We plan on leaving over the next two weeks and taking our time sailing north. Our boat is Tigress Too, A 43-foot Cutter rig Adams. we would love other boats to sail with and learn from. So if you want a boating buddy for any time feel free to say hi. 🙂

Sea Eagle a 14.5m mono hull cruiser is slowly motoring the Kimberley from east to west for about 6 months to Broome. Various family are flying in and out. We have spent the last couple of weeks in Cambridge Gulf and the Berkeley and are the next couple of days heading up to King George. Thanks to Ross and this site for so much good information. We look forward to meeting up with others along the way. Cheers Michael

Whisper today rounding cape Leveque. Hoping to spend the night at the tiderip Islands. Neaps tides. Then on to Crocodile Creek, get fuel at dogleg. Can recommend getting to the Lacepedes if the weather is kindly.

We are a couple from Adelaide, SA. We are currently in Carnarvon, heading north in the next couple of days. First stop Coral Bay then onto Exmouth. Taking our time from there heading to the Kimberley in our ketch ‘Breezy’. Looking forward to meeting fellow cruisers along the way.
Cheers Chris and Trish, SV Breezy 🙂

Hello,
My partner and I are leaving Darwin early July and Sailing down the WA coastline in our 44ft CSY mono. We are hoping to spend a few weeks exploring the Kimberley on the way. I am looking forward to seeing and meeting other sailors doing similar things in life. If you see us, give us a shout or feel free to check up on us as we are new to cruiser sailing this year and are a little nervous about jumping straight into a big trip.
