Hi Ken, This may be the only croc that has give you a worry in that one place but it’s the same all along the coast now, almost no croc is scared of people. Used to have to worry about getting in the water with them, now you have to worry about them getting in the boat with you ! We do spend a lot of time along the Kimberley coast but it’s now been 3 times that one has jumped out of the water and attempted to grab me and I’m talking about being in a 6m trailcraft, not a dinghy. The largest missed by perhaps 5 seconds and we have a large set of teeth marks on the metal shade support to prove it. If I hadn’t happened to look down and see it I’d have been a gonner, as I jumped into middle of boat it flew out of water at me, really scary. On top of that there has been many times when they have come close for a look. You can no longer trust you are safe just because you are in a boat and it’s getting worse every year as they grow larger and more of them and they have no fear at all of people !!  We are now much more careful then we were 10 years ago, cheers, Anne
