        Are there any places in the Kimberley where there is phone/internet coverage via Telstra or similar? I’m hoping that there’s a few spots about where I can anchor up and get some work done… We have a sat phone but the data cost will be a bit prohibitive to what I need to do.

          Hi Tramp,

          Honeymoon Bay Camping Ground in Napier Broome Bay may have wifi available to clients for a fee. Ring them to find out. Expect it will be slow.

          Only other place I know of is around Koolan Island which runs an Optus mobile phone antenna.

              Hi Ross,

              we tried to get internet / Telstra service last year  in the camp- not available at all…..

              Yep right next to the Koolan Island mine was the best spot for Optus. We were able to Skype video with family there. Nowhere else.

              Telstra was the best for Broome to Perth.

              Our iridium go worked well for weather and predict winds (slow and expensive but it worked)
