hi guys we doing a trailer boat trip in september. leaving derby and going as far as doubtful bay. we need to beach a 28ft boat to be able to get a tender of the roof somewhere around doubtful. any suggestions would be great. happy to leave her on suitable bottom over the low tide.

From my memory, there is plenty of mud, mangroves and rocks in Doubtful Sound. The Sale River has some sandy river beds that dry at LW. But its hard to see beforehand what you are going to sit down on.

Or try up the coast towards Freshwater Cove, Langgi or Prior Point. Nice sand beaches up that way.

          Cheers, Ross

The dinghy beach at Raft Point is awesome but probably not suitable because you would need to use the spring tides and they are pretty crazy there. Sale River as suggested above might be good. Watch out for crocs! We towed our 3.6m tender from Broome, so maybe Silica Beach!
