Who Why and When

Who. My name is Ross Squire. My wife Roslyn and I have extensively cruised the Kimberley Coast in our power cat “R&R”.

Why. We love cruising the Kimberley coast and we want to encourage others to visit this fantastic cruising area in their own boats.

We also know how difficult it can be to get started on such a venture, and we hope the Kimberley Coast CYC will provide advice, encouragement, friendship and local knowledge if you are planning, or just dreaming about a cruise to the Kimberley or beyond.

When. The Kimberley Coast CYC was launched in April 2012.

Help Needed!!!

Members – I need your help. It will take me many months, if not years to write a comprehensive list of Kimberley anchorages. I have a reasonably good knowledge of the Kimberley coast, but I certainly don’t know it all. Other members are assisting me with their first hand experiences and local knowledge, but I can use as much information as I can get my hands on.

Please let me know about your favourite anchorages and provide any interesting information for inclusion in new anchorage pages.

Also let me know if you discover any errors, changes or additional info that needs to be amended or included in the existing anchorage pages.

Last but not least – Please be patient. I do this in my spare time, so it may take a while.

Many thanks,

Ross
