        Hi Folks,

Asking for a suggested list of outboard spares to take with – given enough Nigel Calder books to be able to enact minor repairs. Generally most thought is given to the main – however it seems prudent to stockpile a cache of most likely needed outboard bits.

Our outboard is a Tohatsu 8hp driving a 4.1m portabote
        Spark plug
        Impellor(s)
Water pump is as far as I currently have gotten
Start ya Bas!@r$ / carby clean

        Any other thoughtful suggestions?

        Regards,

        Ian

          Hi Ian
A spare prop, castle nut and split pins can save you a lot of heartache.

          Regards
          Kevin

Hi Ian, Kevin’s extras pretty much cover it. I also carry a tube of gearbox oil and a gearbox oil bung washer. Plus spare engine oil for 4 strokes.

            Cheers, Ross
