After much planning and preparation myself and a good friend from work towed a Ross 830 Trailer Sailer from Adelaide to Broome, launched at Broome then spent 5 weeks sailing through the Kimberley, reaching as far as Raft Point and Ruby Falls.
It was the trip of a lifetime with no real issues, apart from underestimating the tide 4 days in and nearly losing the tender.
We made a video
For anyone interested.
The inflatable tender worked a treat and apart from one minor croc incident we never really felt threatened.
Thanks to all those that may have helped with advise during our planning phase. 🙂
Great work with the video guys. Good to see more and more trailerable vessels venturing well into the Kimberley and away from civilisation. It’s far from impossible these days with fuel efficient outboards and proper planning. Well done!!!
